Ready, ... Set, ... GO!!

Who said Easter egg hunts were just for little kids? On Easter Sunday, 2009, our big kids and their friends had fun hunting eggs, too! I love the way this series of photos shows each person’s unique way of hunting eggs. The one in the red shirt jumping out of the large photo is my son, John. He was trying to get ahead of everyone else, and I think it worked. He sure collected a lot of eggs!

The real reason behind the Easter celebration is symbolized by the Easter egg, namely the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just as a seemingly dead egg hatches into a baby chick, Jesus rose from the dead that first Easter morning. In the midst of the fun and family gatherings, Easter egg hunts and chocolate eggs, let us remember the empty tomb.

Have a blessed Easter!

Sue
