However, the colors of the picture go perfectly with this month's DSO Color Challenge, so I decided to make a new layout. You can find my first attempt here. Which do you like better?

This sparkling bay on Ike ("ee-kay") Island in Okinawa, Japan, was even more breath-taking in person than this photo portrays. The view from the road above was free, but view from the private beach below was not.
Since we didn't plan to swim that day, we parked at a spot half-way up, then hiked the rest of the way up to the cliff-top and took this picture of one of the most beautiful places we visited in Japan. (Spring 2002)

Truly stunning layout, Sue. Love the way you created the title to suggest the Japanese flag.
This is gorgeous! I love your new layout. Especially since you used my kit! :-) I still get seriously excited when someone uses my kit. *lol*
The photo is so stunning and with this layout you made it the star of the show... as it should be.
I was also impressed with your extraction and the paper sun. I didn't even think about it relating to the Japanese flag until I read Nikki's comment. Great job all around!
Nikki and Sky, to be honest, when I made this layout, I didn't think about the paper sun imitating the flag of Japan, "the land of the rising sun" I guess I'm subconsciously brilliant.
Wow, This is Marvelous! Thanks for sharing this and joined me at my blog games.
WOW- well I didn't see it either till I read the comments- great insight nikki!
Sue LOVE this one- the journaling at the bottom is perfect and LOVE the title work too. It's a beautiful photo!!!
