Happy 80th Birthday, Dad!

My dad turned 80 years old this year, so we threw a big party to honor him. All the kids and most of the grandkids came. Dad almost set the smoke detectors off when he blew out his 80 candles!

My dad is a kind, caring, considerate, fun-loving, generous and godly man. I'm so blessed that he is my dad!

Grosgrain Girl by mel_h designs and Scrappyweiss Designs; balloons by Kristin Aagard Designs; birthday cake and candles by Gunhild; word art (re-colored) by Elegant Word Art; December 2010 Jelly of the Month Freebie Alpha by Libby Pritchett Designs; curled ribbons by Scrappin Cop; Happy Birthday To Me - CU party hat by Malily; star and diamond shapes by me

I submitted this layout to the December IL Playing with Numbers Challenge. The requirements were to use 4 pictures plus a minimum of 6 papers, 1 ric rac, 1 alpha, 2 shapes and 6 elements. I planned to scrapbook these photos anyway, but this challenge helped me make the page more interesting as I searched for ways to fulfill the guidelines.
