The Best State Fair in Our State

A visit to the Minnesota State Fair is a fall tradition in our family. I remember going to the fair when I was quite young. We would make sure to go on the rides, look at the butter sculptures of the dairy princesses, have malts at the dairy building, and see the fish and animals at the DNR building.

This past year, Harry and I viewed the crop art, watched our niece march in the parade, admired the crafts in the Creative Arts building, were amazed at the giant vegetables, listened to hardanger fiddlers, and ate all kinds of different foods.

We're proud of our fair. In a state of 5.3 million people, the attendance is about 1.8 million over the 12 days of the fair, giving us the largest average daily attendance of any state fair in the country.
