Smile! Not!

My boys were embarrassed to pose by Ronald McDonald in Japan, so these are their “Mom! Really?!” faces.

I submitted this page to the Scrap Girls Monday 11/19 Challenge to make a page that would bring a smile. I hope it made you smile!

New Baby Brother

Congratulations to my niece and her husband on the birth of their second son!  This very special photo was, unfortunately, dark and blurry, but it represented such an important event I needed to make a layout of it.  I decided to use a "Paint Daubs" filter from Photoshop Elements 6 that made the photo look like it was supposed to be blurry. With a lot of other blending modes to vary the color and lightness, this is result. I like it! Naturally, this was an adorable, "Awwww...." type photo, so that helped, too.

Nature's Backdrop

This is my favorite photo of Harry taken while on vacation.  These trees by Gooseberry Falls, with their twisted roots clinging to the rocks beneath, formed a perfect backdrop.

The Line Continues ...

This photo of my Dad and his first great grandchild, Rory, shows that the line continues as the next generation is born.  Rory has been joined by his cousin, Grace, and his brand new baby brother Calvin, so Dad has three great grandchildren now!

This layout goes along with my second Scrap Girls newsletter article.  If you want to read about "The Power of Thirds", click here and scroll down to "Tips From the Pros" in the middle of the letter.
