Easter Memories

This was the year my nephew Billy made the eggs “fly”. We all laughed at his antics, which made him make even more eggs sail up into the air --- and crack on the ground. Fortunately, Billy’s dad liked hard-boiled eggs. He didn't mind that the shells were already cracked for him, either.

Isn't this picture adorable? I just want to give both these cuties a big squeeze. I love the huge smile on my dad's face, too. You can tell he was having as much fun as the boys.

Stitched With Love By Mom

Mom sewed many different outfits for her ten grandchildren. Here are some matching ones she made for our three boys. I really like her happy expression as she posed with Steven. Photo of the three boys: David (3), John (1), Steven (4 mo); December 1988

I submitted this page for a challenge at Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking to be inspired by something from the past. My inspiration came from this photo. I used the grey and black from the little outfit as well as the pink from Mom's blouse as the color palette for my page.

Graduation From Japanese Kindergarten

Steven attended Japanese kindergarten from 1994 to 1995. It was a real education for us all! When he started, Steven knew no Japanese and our Japanese was very limited, but it all worked out in the end. When he graduated, the school took a special class photo with each student wearing a white flower. The photo of the principal handing out the diploma was staged ahead of time so each student would have a good picture to put into a scrapbook.

Whenever I look at the group shot of all those five- and six-year-olds, I am amazed at how well the kids lined up, either standing or sitting, with every head in place, all feet together and hands in laps.

I submitted this page to the 5/26 Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking Tuesday Newsletter Challenge to create a page about a graduation.  It was also published here in the Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking Newsletter.

I have a bunch of completed pages that are ready to post.  Look for them soon.
