Latest and Greatest

Dad met his latest two great-grandbabies at our son’s wedding. Front to Back, L to R: Becca with son Caleb (2 mo.); Dad; Mary holding daughter Evelyn (2 yr. - toddler Dad had previously met); Sara with Mary’s baby Gwendolyn (2 mo.). I love this picture of all the different generations!

Floral Legacy

Mom came by her love of flowers from her mother, Alma. Alma always had gorgeous flowers such as the bouquets you see on her porch.

Find Your Wings

This was song for all the mother-son dances at my sons’ weddings.  I am proud of the way they are each “finding their wings”. (Lyrics are below the layout.)

Veronica Spriggs: Esprit De La Vie Collection; Brandy Murry: ScrapSimple Calendar Templates: 11x17 Blenders 2015 (retired; used layer masks); Fonts: Times New Roman, Landliebe. I submitted this page to the Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking 5/14 Weekend Wildcard Challenge to create a page using lyrics from a song.

Find Your Wings by Mark Harris

It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold

So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth

And if I never told you,
I want you to know
As I watch you grow

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings

May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way

May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings

It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly

I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings

King of the Waterfall

One of the reasons our boys like Gooseberry Falls so much is the ease and fun of climbing the rocks around the falls. In this photo, Steven stood at the top, looking like the king of all he surveyed.
